Description of the Project
The present project is a first phase. A second phase is considered after assessment of this one. Considered several activities permit to reach the aimed objectives.
 
1. Activities
From these two specific objectives ensue  the following activities:
 
1.1. sensitization of the personalities and authorities implied during the identification of the project, A.BE.E.A is already took contacts with the persons responsible of the schools identified, the chiefs of precinct, the mayors of the different townships concerned, in order to sensitize them on the idea of the project.  Delegations of A.BE.E.A surrendered in the schools  in the month of February  2007. They will also surrender by the municipal authorities in the same period for the same objectives.
In the first week of the month of October  2007, the same delegations will surrender by the same authorities to inform them of the starting of the project by the social investigation.
 
1 .2.  Sensitization and education of the parents
 Meetings of sensitization and education of maintenance  the children to the school will be organized in the schools  of Porto-Novo in five (5) primary schools and two (2) secondary schools ( colleges). Meetings of talks will be organized outside of the schools (in the public places) to sensitize and to educate the parents more to send their children to school. The organs of press will be associated to these different meetings.
 
1.3. Identification of the abandoned children and the resource less parents
 A social investigation will be organized in five (5) precincts of Porto-Novo and in a precinct of the three surrounding farming townships.
A social worker will be responsible   for this task. The choice of the children to sustain will be according to the results of this investigation. In any case, hundred (100) children to the maximum will be sustained in the first phase of the project during two years.
 
1.4. Support to the abandoned children
 It is about the support to schooling of the children,  to the maintenance of the children in the school. TO every start of the academic year, a specialized team with to its head a social worker will lead some steps to write down in the primary schools and the colleges, the children who will be kept after the results of the social investigation. These children will be provided in school supplies, in clothing and in food. In the same way, the children already registered and of which the maintenance to the school puts seriousness problems will benefit from this support also.
 
2. Beneficiary populations
2.1 - The abandoned children (orphans of father and mother of which no other parent has the capacity to sustain them) and the children of resource less parents.

 A previous social investigation is necessary to identify the target populations
