The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a thrift store operated to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Bulloch County. Opened in 1996 as the Habitat Home Shop,the store has generated more than $400,000 in sales to help build affordable homes. To celebrate the store's 10th anniversary, in August 2006, it was renamed the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, joining other affiliates nationwide in using the ReStore name.

Tailgate Recycling

Join Keep Bulloch Beautiful for their third season of tailgate recycling at all Georgia Southern Eagles' home football games.

Each week, volunteers pass out blue recycling bags to tailgaters for their cans and bottles. Tailgaters simply fill the bag, close it and leave it by their parking space. After the game, the bags are collected by volunteers.

Volunteers should meet behind the Bishop fieldhouse two hours before game time for a brief training. Groups of volunteers are still needed for all games.

Restaurant Recycling

Each year, hundreds of thousands of pounds of recyclable glass and aluminum are tossed out as trash. Hands On Ogeechee seeks dedicated project coordinators and volunteers to design and implement long-term, sustainable county-wide recycling project.

Books for a Brighter Future

Book donation boxes will be available throughout the area at common meeting places such as schools, businesses, churches, and other high traffic locations. Books donated will be sold online, regifted to literacy programs, or recycled to pulp. (Sorry, we cannot accept phonebooks, magazines, encyclopedias, or dictionaries). The funds raised will support Hands On Ogeechee's Youth Action Centers and general operations.
