The official launch of Hands On Schools took place on August 9, 2007 at Kennedy Middle School in Atlanta, Ga. Hands On Schools launched simultaneously in Denver, CO at Manual High School. Hands On Atlanta and Hands On Schools co managed the project at Kennedy.

 

 
 
Project Highlights:
  • Outdoor classroom/learning space designed and built by students from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD)
  • Landscaping throughout school grounds
  • Murals painted throughout the school
  • Repainting hallways and stairwells
