Hands On New Orleans is Partnering with Interfaith Works and the Fredrick Douglass Community Coalition to bring to the area a week-long celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This event will include an interfaith dinner, civil rights film screenings, a book giveaway to children, civil rights-themed workshops, and two days of service, on Saturday, January 19th, and on MLK Day itself, January 21st.

The two days of service will occur at Carver Schools and Fredrick Douglass High School, which will include school improvements, neighborhood inventories, neighborhood cleanups, mural painting, and many other projects
