On March 28, 2007, 238 volunteers came together Volunteer Central’s Hands On Schools Martin Luther King Day project at Fairview Elementary School in Denver, Colorado.  

 

Accomplishments:

 

  • Repainted the entire school (both interior and exterior)
  • Created and painted student designed murals on the walls that capturing social justice themes
  • Renovated the school's gym and auditorium.   
  • Logged a total of 2,400 volunteer hours!
